There is a myth, rampant amongst many, that if we can only get people together to talk we'll have community. Well, that's not exactly nonsense, but it abstracts the means by which we get people together to talk. The myth lies in the notion that without some economic inducement to do so, people will regularly gather across identity-related lines.

Come along on a FREE walking tour exploring through historical anecdote the hypothesis that land values get people of diverse backgrounds into relationships that can make or break equity, a sense of belonging, democratic institutions, etc.

Stopping at seven architectural viewpoints, the walk untangles stories about the Black Panthers, the hippie 60s, Queer life in the USA, emigrant debacles, white nationalism, and theology in order to reweave a whole cloth approach to citizenship based upon common moral, biological, and economic right to occupy land/place/location.

"When the allocation of the dollar value of place is in play, things get interesting."
