That magnificent mojo aria in the Declaration of Independence, namely "All men [people] are created equal" has been the defining point of origin for the American social experiment. It has caused grief in its abjuration, excited lifted spirit in its aspiration, and enjoined John Lewis' "good trouble" in its fulfillment.
We of the Henry George School believe that abolishing private income or economic advantage from mere ownership of parts of the Earth is a fundamental condition for making practical reality out of the Declaration's grand statement of universal dignity. We hold the conviction that dignity is embraced in the circumstance of no human being having to pay another for the opportunity to occupy planet Earth. Instead, we hold that there is dignity for individual and society together in treating land values as a community legacy.
Join us in celebrating both this conviction and a commitment to exploring the next frontier of the American Dream of universal dignity.
We'll be serving up Impossible (or such) burgers and other picnic eats to any and everyone who RSVPs our national birthday bash.
We're in San Francisco's Bernal Heights.
