Drag for Democracy will bring together the vibrant drag community and passionate advocates of democracy for an evening of entertainment, education, and advocacy while honoring Bay Area leaders, Honey Mahogany, Senator Scott Wiener, Councilmember Carolyn Wysinger, and Matt Foreman, for their contributions to advocacy and activism for LGBTQ+ rights, equity, voting, and civic engagement.
Hosted by the League of Women Voters California and San Francisco, Drag for Democracy will feature some of the city’s most talented drag performers, who will entertain attendees while spreading the message of civic engagement, creating an inclusive democracy, and the importance of voting.
Tickets are $125 for members of the League of Women Voters and $225 for non-members.
LGBTQ+ advocates, and indeed people from all marginalized communities, have always been at the forefront of efforts to build power, create possibility, and expand our democracy to include all people. And with much fanfare, glitter, and glam, we will honor community members making democracy work as they build justice and equity in California.
The League of Women Voters of California and the League of Women Voters of San Francisco are thrilled to co-host this exciting event and we hope you will join us!
