What makes Putin's invasion of Ukraine real is that it takes up material space. If it were dialectical marxist theory, or self-described liberal or reactionary anti-capitalism, or anti-US imperialism justification of proposed violence, Ukrainians and Russians wouldn't be dead.

Come along on a walking tour surveying social fractures explained as "Matters of real estate."

Not until Putin's tanks crossed into Ukraine was the invasion real. And not until the housing debacles of California located on SF's 49 (or so) square miles or California's 163,696 square miles was there a housing crisis. The three-dimensionality of humans isn't real until it's off the books and onto the land.
