please assure me that Nick Brana wasn't there. lol
I told off submedia they way they needed for arguing about how many angels can dance on a pinhead while they refuse to rally against war.
You really don't want a social media account with "anarchists" who censor the truth about warmongering in Ukraine. I didn't understand this when I recommended "Kolektiva" to others.
Kolektiva is just a pimple on the social media problem. I notice indybay itself also has accounts elsewhere. Good thing, IMO.
Mastodon itself won't last as a Free platform.
An example of what preceded Mastodon, and what will come next is at
https://blob.cat
Yes the software at that site is really good, and is similar in many ways to Mastodon,
but it's older and continues to develop. Search for the accounts you want to connect with from that site, and it usually works just fine
You can make it look like Mastodon if you want, it federates the same way, but it's not controlled by the "Official Client" (lol) or the opinions of a CEO who has sold out to the same corporate swine as Twitter did 7 years ago.
so check that out. say hi to Keith!
