Creative movement is a practice for all ages in which we honor the ways our bodies ache to move. It is free room: a space for you to whoop and holler, lay down on the floor, cry, laugh, stand on your head, or dance your heart out!
queer expression oakland is a small event capped at 10-15 LGBTQ+ folks (+2 hosts) that takes place at least once a month at Shershow Studios in the Dimond District in Oakland, California.
Our creative movement practice is a bit untraditonal—it's more of a "play space" for all ages. We provide plenty of arts and crafts for those who do not feel called to dance, instruments for noisemaking, ribbons for twirling, tons of confetti, a giant beach ball, and even a jumbo rainbow parachute to run under!
