Homo sapiens poured out of Africa a long time ago, presumably looking for good stuff to eat, some elbow room, some social stimulation after hanging around the same fire pit for a couple of millennia, and maybe 'cause there was sheer curiosity in the cerebellum.
Certainly the exodus was in pursuit of security in geography. That's the eternal pursuit . . . a metaphorical room of one's own (with good company, no doubt).
Come along on a FREE Black History Month-inspired walking tour exploring the nature and substance of security in geography, with special reference to San Francisco social movements. Real estate and social justice, friends. That's the topic. The Black Panthers, students striking for Ethnic Studies at SFSU, Mormons, Chinese exiles, Irish refugees, low income folk, do-gooders, The Diggers, the self-described Progressive Left, small business owners, women, non-straights, and more!
