Palestine, Levant. Palestine, Texas. Both occupied by people. Which people have standing in occupying either and both?
Writ large, the surface of Earth is Palestine. Which people have standing in occupying?
Come along on a FREE walking tour been running nigh on 23 years that tackles the land question straight up. The intersection of real estate and social justice.
Employing five social movements with deep connection with the San Francisco Bay region (the 1960s hippies, the 1960s Black Panthers, the 1840s Mormons, the 1960's American Indian Movement, and SF's Chinatown contribution to the Chinese Democracy Movement led by Sun Yat-sen), the tour explores how the struggle for security lives in the struggle for equality of land access.
The connection of Tom Paine's AGRARIAN JUSTICE, Henry George's PROGRESS & POVERTY, and Isaiah's NEVEEYEEM to the land question is also treated as a feature of the tour.
