To set things right, to make whole the nation, to heal what's wrong Martin Luther King said we need a fundamental change of heart, and as Eddie Glaude has observed, that means definite action commensurate with that change of heart.
No fundamental change in a complex society can be complete without a change of legal relation to land. So long as private property in the ECONOMIC girth and worth of land remains, just so long will domination of one person over another be certain. If access to place is contingent upon transfer of a portion of individual economic worth to another private party, rather than to the community as a whole, the devaluing of the individual is certain. After all, is not this planet equally home to each and all?
It's one thing to be evicted from the building another owns. It's quite another matter to be evicted from the land upon which that building stands.
You're invited to attend a free one-hour interactive seminar exploring both the change of heart necessary to fix the land question and a public policy program that agrees with such a change of heart.
