Today, the U.S. is at war in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, along with the so-called “war on terror.” There are more than 800 U.S. foreign military bases in at least 100 countries. The Pentagon’s budget for this year is $738 billion — $738,000,000,000! Except for very brief periods, the United States has been at war non-stop since it was founded 231 years ago. What is driving “endless war?” Who benefits and who pays? What is the connection between war and racism? Is endless war inevitable? Join us for educational presentations and discussion.
