Journalist Reese Erlich, author of five books on foreign affairs, recently returned from Istanbul where he wrote about the current Middle East crisis. Trump gave the green light for Turkey’s invasion of Syria. The Kurds of have switched sides. What are the future roles of Russia, Iran and the Syrian government? Will the Kurds and Assad be able to reach a political settlement? And what are the implications of this for power relations in the world? Erlich received a Peabody Award in 2006 and best depth reporting” awards in 202 and 2006 from the Society of Professional Journalists (Northern California).
