The Rev. Arlington Trotman is an immigrant to the U.K. and a leader in the struggle for racial justice in England and Europe. In the U.S. issues of overt racism and conflicts over immigration and asylum mirror issues Rev. Trotman has faced. Born in Barbados, Rev. Trotman immigrated to England at 17. Under British colonial rule, he received only an elementary education, but saw his life as a Christian transformed in England. He enrolled in college, became an ordained Methodist minister and went on to become the moderator of Churches’ Commission of Migrants in Europe (CCME) an organization of churches and ecumenical councils from 18 European countries that advocates for migrants, refugees and minority groups. He has authored numerous publications and books.
