Demonstrators for Medicare for All March on Office of Congresswoman Eshoo
On September 5, Santa Clara County Single Payer Coalition and National Nurses United led a protest that started with a march through downtown Palo Alto leading to the door of Congresswoman Anna Eshoo. The Congresswoman has made it clear she is against eliminating for-profit insurance companies from our healthcare system and replacing them with a non-profit federal system.

Anna Eshoo (U.S. Representative from California's 18th congressional district) is currently chair of the House Subcommittee on Health. She will control the hearings on the healthcare insurance bills, including Medicare for All. At a recent town hall, she told constituents that there are many Medicare for All bills, but in actuality there is only one with that title. Others have misleadingly similar titles but are not single-payer enhanced Medicare for All.
Because the Congresswoman has made it clear she is against eliminating for-profit insurance companies from our healthcare system and replacing them with a non-profit federal system, groups that have been working long and hard on a single payer plan organized a demonstration in front of the her Palo Alto office. Speakers including a doctor, Medicare for All advocates, and victims of the current insurance system spoke at the protest. A theatrical skit by the Raging Grannies demonstrated just how undercovered Americans are with the current healthcare system.
Demonstrators started with a short rally in downtown Palo Alto's Lytton Plaza, then marched through the city stopping at the city's historic post office and other locations before landing in front of Eshoo's office. There they rallied anew and delivered a petition of over 1,000 signatures calling for Eshoo to co-sign the HR 1384 Medicare for All bill.

Democrat Anna Eshoo, lickspittle of the insurance companies, is your victory over communism. She and her fellow Democrats do their best to make sure you never vote socialist (Peace & Freedom) or Green and so some of them mouth decent phrases at election time to make sure you never vote Peace & Freedom or Green, but when elected, they carry out the same capitalist agenda as the Republicans since both the Democrats and Republicans are paid for by the same capitalist class. While you have been playing the Democrats' con game, the rest of the industrialized world and some of the non-industrialized world has passed socialized medicine legislation. The regions and countries of the world that have socialized medicine are: All of Europe, Israel, Rwanda, Cuba, Canada, Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, China, Taiwan, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand.
You will notice that all of these regions and countries have been victims of the Democrat-Republican wars of anti-communism, now renamed wars of anti-terrorism. This is the sales pitch for the war machine, proudly supported by Democrats and Republicans together, to maximize the profits of the oil companies and the munitions makers, the only reason the military exists.
Your victory over communism, private profit medicine, has brought us 5 years of declining life expectancy, since 2014, and we have the highest infant mortality and lowest life expectancy in the industrialized world.
We are all glad that you finally woke up to the lie of the Democrats. However, for some of us, it is a little late. This writer grew up hearing about the frame-up by Democrat Pres. Truman of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg and Morton Sobell, who were charged with the false and phony charge of conspiracy to commit atomic espionage when there was no atomic secret, in 1950, shortly after this writer was born. The Rosenbergs paid with their lives by being murdered in the electric chair and Morton Sobell served 19.5 years in prison, including Alcatraz, for a crime they did not commit, all, as Julius Rosenberg stated, to promote the anti-communist war in Korea, 1950-1953. You will see that both North and South Korea have socialized medicine, as does China, whose revolution of 1949 was and is despised by both Democrats and Republicans, and the overthrow of which was the ultimate goal of the war against Korea and the war against Vietnam (1954-1975).
We spent our childhood living in fear of the anti-Communist witchhunters. We celebrated Victory in Vietnam Day, April 30, 1975, when we were in our 20s, which ended the hypocrisy of fighting communism as that war woke up an entire generation to capitalist lies. You will see that not only Vietnam, but also Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand in the same region have socialized medicine.
So now we wait again to see if you will finally vote for people who support HR 1384, namely all of Peace & Freedom Party and the Green Party. You could and should try running someone against 76-year-old Anna Eshoo in the March 2020 primary but should that fail, you had better vote Peace & Freedom or Green. Not even the Democrats' Sheepdog, Bernie Sanders, supports HR 1384. He came up with his own sellout in the Senate, lowering the Medicare age to 55, ad nauseum. The filing deadline is in December 2019, so time is of the essence.
By the way, the bare behind photo does not enhance this collage; it diminishes and degrades it and is insulting.
Meanwhile, it is 54 years since 1965, when we won Medicare for those of us over age 65, and it is not what it should be since we have to pay a little over $100 a month for it and it does not cover everything. HR 1384 is an improvement over the current Medicare. Roll out the socialist agenda now before all life on Planet Earth is destroyed by the capitalist class.

Lighten up!
Who's insulted by the bare rear end? You?
The point was that Americans are seriously "undercovered" when it comes to health care. If demonstrations are boring people tire of them and stop coming. I, for one, am grateful for the creative amongst us. We are all in the struggle together.

Rishi Kumar is the only candidate in the race for United States Congress District 18 who has taken the No Health Industry PAC Pledge. He will prioritize the health of the American people over the profits of the health industry.
