Fascist NRA gun organization labeled a domestic terrorist organization

San Francisco - On Tuesday, September 3, 2019, a resolution passed by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors declared that the fascist right-wing extremist National Rifle Association of America (NRA), a very troubled organization that supports the Trump regime and Republicans with major political campaign contributions, is a domestic terrorist organization. Additionally, the Board of Supervisors asked other cities to follow suit to declare the NRA a domestic terrorist organization.

In part, according to the resolution, it reads: “The United States is plagued by an epidemic of gun violence, including over 36,000 deaths, and 100,000 injuries each year. Every day approximately 100 Americans are killed with guns. There has been more than one mass shooting per day in the United States in 2019. The gun homicide rate in the United States is 25 times higher than any other high-income country in the world.”

Additionally: “WHEREAS, The National Rifle Association musters its considerable wealth and organizational strength to promote gun ownership and incite gun owners to acts of violence, and WHEREAS, The National Rifle Association spreads propaganda that misinforms and aims to deceive the public about the dangers of gun violence, and WHEREAS, The leadership of National Rifle Association promotes extremist positions, in defiance of the views of a majority of its membership and the public, and undermine the general welfare, and WHEREAS, The National Rifle Association through its advocacy has armed those individuals who would and have committed acts of terrorism; and WHEREAS, All countries have violent and hateful people, but only in America do we give them ready access to assault weapons and large-capacity magazines thanks, in large part, to the National Rifle Association’s influence; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the City and County of San Francisco intends to declare the National Rifle Association a domestic terrorist organization; and, be it FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City and County of San Francisco should take every reasonable step to assess the financial and contractual relationships our vendors and contractors have with this domestic terrorist organization;and, be it FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City and County of San Francisco should take every reasonable step to limit those entities who do business with the City and County of San Francisco from doing business with this domestic terrorist organization; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City and County of San Francisco should encourage all other jurisdictions, including other cities, states, and the federal government,to adopt similar positions.”

In nearby Oakland, for many years the homicide rate has been horrific thanks in part to the members of the NRA selling guns to the cold blooded killers and homicidal maniacs roaming the streets of Oakland.

In a statement released from the NRA, “This is just another worthless and disgusting ‘soundbite remedy’ to the violence epidemic gripping our nation. The same kind of attack the NRA has confronted in New York,” the statement says.

“This is a reckless assault on a law-abiding organization, its members, and the freedoms they all stand for. We remain undeterred – guided by our values and belief in those who want to find real solutions to gun violence.”

According to a 2017 990 tax filing, the National Rifle Association of America (NRA) had gross receipts of $342,109,050. After subtracting their liabilities from their assets in 2017 the NRA had net assets or a fund balance of $24,950,203.

In 2017, Wayne LaPierre, CEO and Executive Vice President of the NRA, a declared domestic terrorist organization that is very troubled, received $1,433,977 in compensation and benefits. The NRA organizations and it’s affiliates are under scrutiny for some alleged illegal activities.

Other identified NRA related tax-exempt organizations include the NRA Foundation Inc, NRA Special Contribution Fund, NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund, NRA Freedom Action Foundation, and the NRA Political Victory Fund.
