Students for Trump is more dangerous than you think

Charlie Kirk, CEO of the pro-Trump youth group Turning Point USA and Chairman of Students for Trump has promised to use "aggressive" means to help Donald Trump win the 2020 election.

As the leader of Turning Point USA, Turning Point News, the Turning Point Endowment, and Turning Point Action, Kirk’s organizations have already used shady tactics to win student body elections and possibly to violate IRS regulations covering charitable organizations and political action committees.

According to Kirk, Students for Trump "has a budget of $15 million, 150 staffers and a presence on more than 1,400 college campuses due to its affiliation with Turning Point Action"

Charlie Kirk’s bag of dirty tricks at Turning Point USA is meant to divide young people on campus and to incite people of color and other minorities: affirmative action bake sales (where Native Americans, African Americans and Hispanics pay the least and white males and Asians pay the most), immigrant walls, conservative "coming out" days, secret classroom surveillance and the Professor Watchlist, and cash awards for silencing liberal voices.

The ADL has labeled TPUSA an alt-lite organization and the Southern Poverty Law Center have reported on TPUSA's links to white nationalists.

Charlie Kirk also uses the same minorities to shill for them on a variety of issues including climate change denial and unrestricted gun rights. TPUSA promoted Milo Yiannopoulos, a gay gay-bashing foreigner, until he outed himself as a pedophile. And they continue to use Candace Owens to recruit African Americans, even after she made remarks favorable to Adolph Hitler.

Students for Trump (S4T) has an equally shady history. Last week, its co-founder John Lambert pleaded guilty today to wire fraud, and faces time in federal prison. S4T also hired white nationalist James Allsup to run their campus ambassador program.

Students for Trump has also repeatedly refused to comply with Federal Election Commission regulations that require a listing of donors and expenses.

High schools, colleges and universities need to be prepared for Students for Trump and TPUSA which will use a variety of dirty tricks to incite students and suppress the vote. This will be especially true at Division I schools in battleground states, including Arizona State, Penn State, Ohio State, and University of North Carolina.
