This event promotes Chicano Mexicano self-determination.
This event is to commemorate the historic 1970 National Chicano Moratorium March Against the War in Viet Nam and against injustices faced by Chicano Mexicano people. Over 20,000 people attended from through out the occupied territories and allies marched thru streets of East Los Angeles. This March was brutally repressed by the Los Angeles Sheriffs dept., killing 4, injuring and arresting hundreds.
We will show video 20 years y que, produced by NC C in 1990 to commemorate the 20th anniversary. We will also have speakers on the significance of this historic watershed event in Chicano Mexicano movement for self-determination and national liberation.
Organize against white settler supremacist violence.
