Ah, Occupy. Some success in raising awareness about sordid, corrosive financial interests in real estate, and how those interests jeopardize the spirit of the people.
But also this. Occupy never clearly identified what it was that was to be occupied.
Come along on a walking tour which in the course of surveying San Francisco social movements, identifies the soil itself beneath the people at play, at work, at home, at business as the thing to be occupied. And then boldly shifts the attendees' attention over to the economic matter of soil, namely, who properly owns the value of soil, of place, of "location, location, location"?
If you're craving some hard thinking about social issues (issues of society), then you'll get a mental rush from this FREE walking tour.
History, real estate, San Francisco, Labor topics out the kazoo, the sociology of theology. Truth or Dare, kiddies!
