A tianguis (tee-ahn-geese) is a well-known cultural practice throughout Mexico. A tianguis refers to a small open-air market, or bazaar, where local community vendors and folks from the neighborhood converge to trade or sell goods and services. In this case, a community action tianguis is a space where organizations and grassroots groups can share community action skills and resources, share information, and strengthen community relationships. Community members will also hold market for food and household items.
