Local residents can show solidarity with the system wide University of California workers strike on May 16. In Berkeley, there are 2 locations where UC workers will be picketing: on main campus and at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. The picket line is all day, from morning to night.
Their fight is our fight. In their struggle against outsourcing of their union jobs, the strikers are fighting against the increased privatization and corporation of the University of California. In the big picture, it is important for residents and students to support this strike.
