It would be nice if you guys would publish Josh and Alejandra's (sp?) writing and photography relative to their hard work in Mexico working with refugees. Your compost middle page spread could have been an online pdf, with more outreach, and then you could have used that space in your newspaper for their photography. Showing: Solidarity with immigrants and refugees, humanizing images of people in distress, a first person glimpse of the situation on the ground there. You guys chose compost over substance that time. The rest of the paper was good, but your usage of a human compost poster for the middle pages was unremarkable and undeniably redundant in comparison to the work of Josh and Alejandra (sp?).
