Corporate Media Abets U.S. Intervention in Venezuela
After more than a year of hyping the so-called Russian meddling in U.S. politics(including dozens of articles screaming with sensational headlines followed by little more than mere allegations by US spy agencies), the mainstream corporate media has hypocritically switched to cheerleading the brazenly Imperialist bullying of Venezuela by Washington and its coalition of sycophantic Latin American regimes.
Up to now, the overbearing Uncle Sam has, A)openly spent tens of millions of dollars to support opposition groups; B)called on the Venezuelan military to remove a democratically-elected President Maduro; C)used its vast arsenal of economic and financial levers to destabilize the Caracas government; and D)threatened to use "all options--including military" against the legal and fellow UN member state. For those of us versed in history, this latest round of Washington's hard-ball regime change policies reminds us sadly of the eerily similar 1898 overthrow of then independent government of Queen Lili'uokalani.
What we need now is an informed and aroused World Public Opinion(WPO) that demands a different outcome than the ongoing Imperial narrative of the USA hegemon.
