Aaron Kllc brings his “Animal Freedom Circus” to San Francisco - ART SHOW
San Francisco - Aaron Kllc a ceramic artist is bringing his circus of colorful animals to town. The “Animal Freedom Circus” is a reversal of animals in captivity. Aaron’s delightful clay sculptures speak with a voice of whimsical fun, freedom, rights, and even political rebellion. Art and Fine Craft patrons can see the show at Gravel and Gold Boutique at 3266 21st Street in San Francisco on Friday November 30th from 6-8pm.
When asked about the show at Gravel and Gold Aaron Kllc said “The Animal Freedom Circus flips a conventional circus on its head by releasing animals from captivity. The liberated animals get their own voice in this circus and it prompts us to question our various relationships with animals and the natural world. The ceramic animals are a variety of sizes and colors in a range of prices. The show seeks to elicit a feeling of freedom, joy and brings a lyrical approach to its political statements.
Aaron Kllc has been a long term art presence in San Fransisco and has expanded to the east coast as well. Aaron creates abstract paintings, sculptures, and the Animal Freedom Circus presents a new direction of fun and freedom with a true love for animals. Kllc said “During stressful and challenging times animals show us unconditional love and give people a break from the stresses of every day life. My art brings me back to a childhood curiosity of the natural world and opens my heart to the reality of a loving state where I create and care for my world.”
Aaron Kllc is an accomplished painter and sculptor driven by a love of 20th century art and historical culture. He has traveled extensively and his art work captures both east and west, with the nuances of the west coast mid-century modern movement. He obtained a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence, Rhode Island. His brand name for his ceramic animals is JIKI JAKU.
