Jovanka and Yes on 10
Jovanka Beckles is an East Bay DSA member, a two-term Richmond City Councilmember, and a leader in the Richmond Progressive Alliance. She's currently running for Assembly District 15, which runs from North Oakland to Richmond. Her platform includes free pre-K to college, ending cash bail, Medicare for All, real rent control, a fossil fuel ban, and more!
We are also mobilizing for Prop 10, which will allow cities and the state to pass strong, universal rent control. East Bay DSA is working with tenant organizations and DSA chapters statewide to win Yes on 10.
Phone Banking
Phone banking is when we mobilize our members and neighbors to our campaign events by texting and calling them. It's key to making our campaign events successful, and we have lots of fun doing it together!
If you're new to campaign work, this is a great way to get started.
