The recent Supreme Court confirmation hearings have brought to light once again the widespread violence against women, as victims of sexual abuse have bravely voiced their opposition to misogynist Kavanaugh’s appointment.
Women’s rights have been severely eroded over the last few years with anti-choice policies being adopted around the country. Roe v. Wade was won under a conservative Supreme Court and a Republican White House under Nixon. Can the pressure of a mass women’s movement sway court opinions and shift the status quo?
Join us for socialist analysis of the recent attacks on women, the role of the Supreme Court under capitalism, and the legacy of women’s oppression.
$3-10 donation, no one turned away for lack of funds.
Refreshments provided. Wheelchair accessible.
