Liberals, progressives, neo-liberals, Berniecrats, etc., don't throw the Bible out with the Bathsheba-water!

Come along on a walking tour surveying San Francisco social movement history that, along the way, observes that the non-supernatural parts of the Hebrew Bible document a solid history of the emergence of democratic republican liberation values:

1)horizontal social structures
2)limited governance
3)institutionalized social supports
4)the weekend
5)periodic debt remission
6)radical real estate reform.

From the Ohlone to the Mormon Hegira to the Chinese Exclusion Act resistance to San Francisco's Populist Party to the Black Panthers to Occupy to housing activism today we see a consistent struggle for "security in geography" marking social movements. The emphasis on equality of access to land in the Hebrew Bible provides a historical and rhetorical platform for resurgent activism today.

Join this free walking tour to supe up your chops in lobbying for effective liberating legislation today!
