Alex Jones supporting alt-right rally in Berkeley, donated five-grand

by Follow the Money
Alex Jones has been supporting the far-right rally in Berkeley, scheduled for August 5th. Jones' show has been a platform for organizer Lindsay Grathwohl and recruiter Ethan Nordean. Alex Jones donated $5000 to Garthwohl explicitly for the upcoming Berkeley conflict.
Lindsay Grathwohl was a featured guest on Alex Jones' July 12th broadcast. Both Grathwohl and Jones stated their belief that Antifa was the successor to the Weather Underground. Lindsay Grathwohl outlandishly claimed that Bill Ayers was in Berkeley during the clashes last year between the far-right and Antfia. She said that Bill Ayers was in the back of the crowd handing out signs to people. Alex Jones further added that "[George] Soros funds them [Antifa]."

Grathwohl spoke about a recent clash in San Francisco on July 7th. She claimed that alt-right organizers, including herself, were unaware that they were staging a 'Tommy Robinson prayer vigil' down the street from OccupyIceSF's blockade encampment. That claim seems questionable. Grathwohl and Alex Jones portrayed the clash as Antifa attacking without provocation. Reviewing videos online clearly shows that a member of the right-wing rally started the fight by pepper-spraying Antifa. When Antifa tried to take the pepper-spray dispenser, Amber Cummings started attacking people. Antifa didn't start the fight, the right-wing rally did. Talking to Alex Jones, Lindsay said "it's difficult...when you're in the mix of all it.. it's difficult to get the whole thing on video." Alex Jones said they need people to stand on the side to take video of Antifa. But there exists full and clear video of what happened, unquestionably documenting that the right-wing rally started the fight.

Having the Alex Jones show as a platform, Lindsay announced the right-wing rally in Berkeley on August 5th. Alex Jones said "this lady needs you to come out and support her... we need numbers out there just like in Portland." He stressed "I want men and women to come out [to Berkeley] in support of what she's doing". Jones then announced he was giving Grathwohl five thousand dollars dollars, to help support the right-wing rally in Berkeley (and Portland). Jones told Lindsay, "You're out there fighting the scum of the Earth, so the least I can do is support [you]". After accepting the donation, Grathwohl asked again for people to go to Berkeley for the rally on August 5th.

Alex Jones has also been promoting right-wing activist Ethan Nordean, who uses the alias Rufio Panman. On Twitter, Nordean had announced his intention to be in Berkeley on August 5th, and has been trying to recruit other to attend. Rufio was interviewed on Alex's show July 6th, 17th and 18th. With Kyle Chapman in a Texas jail, the far-right have been trying to encouraging Ethan as his replacement.
