Please join us for a radical movie night as we listen to the words of some of our most revolutionary Black leaders.
Frederick Douglass, Marcus Garvey, Martin Luther King, Jr., Nina Simone, Fred Hampton, Assata Shakur, Marsha P Johnson, Angela Davis, Erica Garner, Tanya Faison, Cat Brooks and Tur-Ha Ak to name a few.
This is an original film created by Black Lives Matter Sacramento to explore our REAL BLACK HISTORY and hear from voices not lifted by mainstream culture.
$10.00 Donation
This is a fundraiser for BLM Sac so that we can continue to lift the names of Black folks
-killed or harmed by law enforcement,
-to support their families,
-to support incarcerated Black folks,
-to fight for justice in education,
-to fight gentrification,
-and to fight anti-Blackness in all aspects of life in our city.
There will be snacks and drinks available and BLM merchandise for sale. Kids of all ages are welcome! There will be a play area for the little ones.
