Finger Wave at Oakland March of Thousands: Gun Sense Now!
Finger wave thing can be hard if you have arthritis, but the students got no problems. Some great signage too. Photos by Carol Thomas, please credit the photographer. Non-commercial use only.
On March 24, hundreds of thousands marched to stop gun violence on a national day of action. In Oakland, young and old rallied to change the system that puts guns in the hands of people who shouldn't have them.
Speakers said it is only common sense to regulate guns more strictly. It is a health issue affecting the country that needs to be addressed.
The national event titled March for Our Lives will not be soon forgotten.

it behooves anyone with conscience to tell the students of America that the greatest gun users and purveyors of weapons of mass destruction in the world is THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT. The U.S. imperialist government has been using weapons like bombs, bullets, shells, Agent Orange, cluster bombs, depleted uranium ammo, etc., etc., all over the world for the past 60 years. They have recently sent Saudi Arabia over $15 Billion in arms and the Zionists of Israel are recipients of a pipeline of weapons since the 1950's. Of course with the Democratic Party directing this anti-gun hysteria we can't raise questions like that because the Democratic Party is just as much a party of war as the Republicans. The U.S. Government always tries to end losing political arguments with the gun. Leadership creates consciousness. If the way the leadership of a country settles their arguments with a gun, or with prison or the death penalty, how the hell do you expect its population to be pacifists?
