EARTH DAY SAN FRANCISCO 2018
On Saturday April 21st celebrate the 49th year of Earth Day, and the 100 year anniversary of the Save the Redwoods League.
The theme for this year’s Earth Day is “Stand for the Redwoods/Stand for the Future“. This unique partnership includes a “Redwood Canopy Tent” featuring renowned speakers and panel discussions with participation from the Save the Redwoods League, Bioneers, the California Academy of Science, and SF Sustainable Fashion Week.
Caring about the environment and gaining knowledge about our human impact on the earth is more important than ever. We are working to create our most educational, impactful and festive Earth Day celebration yet.
There will be booths by non-profits providing information about environmental causes and solutions to pollution, transportation issues, health care, technology and the environment, solar powered stages by SolSolutions, and other topics relevant to leading a healthy and meaningful life in the modern age.
Earth Day SF provides a platform for compassionate ways to deal with social issues, fact based science with informative speaker panels throughout the day, cutting edge green technology displays and demos, and non-profits that are working to help sustain the planet.
The festival will also feature amazing entertainment, an organic celebrity chef showcase, delicious food trucks, wine and beer gardens, a “clean energy zone”, demos of earth friendly products, an electric vehicle showcase, a kids zone and more. Join us for this FREE event at Civic Center Plaza in the heart of San Francisco in front of City Hall for a day of fun, community and education!
Our non-profit presenting partner is Climate Theater, a theater and festival production company in the Bay Area for over the past 30 years. For more information, check out Climate Theater. Talks will go throughout the day with topics including conservation, climate change, recycling, and the intersection of politics, technology and the environment.
