International Day, 2018—ongoing women's resistance
#MeToo in prison
Ever since Trump's election, women have been in the forefront of the resistance. A year later, the movement deepened in the form of #MeToo, shaking up the depths of sexual harassment, including in workplaces.
Women prisoners have experienced the worst this society does, including every-day acts sexual abuse. What can their struggle to assert their humanity teach the rest of us?
Urszula Wislanka, Marxist-Humanist activist with California Coalition for Women Prisoners and Pelican Bay Hunger Strike Support Coalition, will speak from the wealth of experiences with prisoners on #MeToo past and present.
