2-4 pm Socialism and the Fight Against Environmental Catastrophe, Carol Dansereau and Jeff Mackler; 7:30-9:30 Keynote speaker Glen Ford, Black Liberation at Home & Abroad; guests Carol Dansereau & Jeff Mackler Carol Dansereau, environmental organizer for three decades, is the author of the new book, “What It Will Take: Rejecting Dead-Ends and False Friends in the Fight for the Earth.”  Glen Ford is a veteran of more than 45 years in broadcast, print and Internet journalism. He is currently executive editor of BlackAgendaReport, a weekly magazine of “news, commentary and analysis from the Black left.” Jeff Mackler, National Secretary of Socialist Action and Socialist Action’s 2016 candidate for the U.S. presidency, is the author of 25 books and pamphlets covering a wide range of political, social and economic issues.
