Stop Anti Labor Union Busting Janis Decision Say Hundreds Of Unionists In SF
On February 26, 2018 hundreds of trade unionists rallied on the steps of San Francisco city hall to protest a ruling in favor of the anti-labor Janis decision.
Hundreds of trade unionists in San Francisco rallied and spoke out on 2/26/18 against the Janis case that would attack the rights of public workers. The rally which took place in front of San Francisco City hall brought members of SEIU 1021, SEIU 1000, UAW 5810, IFPTE Local 21, TWU 250A, SEIU 2015and Teamsters 2785. Many workers say it was aimed at destroying all labor and worker rights on the job.
The US Supreme Court was to take up the case and there was a likelihood the court would rule against the unions and would strengthen open shop and anti-labor movement throughout the United States.
