The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is the largest and fastest growing socialist organization in the United States. Democratic Socialists believe that both the economy and society should be run democratically to meet human needs, not to make profits for a few. We are an activist organization, not a party; through campus and community-based chapters DSA members use a variety of tactics, from legislative to direct action to mutual aid, to fight for reforms that empower working people.
Do you want to join our fight for universal healthcare, housing, and education, or just learn more about what socialists are fighting for? Come to our meeting this Friday, Jan 2 in Palo Alto.
This meeting will feature a presentation on how the tenants union in Sweden is fighting for the right to housing; updates on our upcoming brake light clinic and single payer healthcare advocacy; breakout sessions on labor, housing, and electoral topics; and planning for our Socialist Media task force, and our work with the Santa Clara County immigration rapid response network.
See you soon!
