Watsonville: Lgbtq+ and Womxns Rally

Revolunas is having a lgbtq+ and womxn rally. We want it to be a SAFE space for healing and empowering. Also, inclusive to ALL peoples. The theme will be "healing that empowers radical change." The activities will consist of womxn and lgbtq+ speakers that are working-class peoples that are in the struggle. Usually in rallies we tend to focus on those that are deemed "successful" and that have "made it." BUT not everyone "makes it" and we need to honor survivors such as moms, farmworkers, and those that have been forgotten; but gave their lives to different movements. This is dedicated to them!

Schedule: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Rally at the plaza/making signs/we will have a big white poster paper to write on

12 p.m. to 1 p.m.: Speakers TBA (let us know if you want to speak)

1 p.m. to 2 p.m.: open mic/dancing (share poetry, writings, and words that encourage and motivate us to continue la lucha)


Revolunas está teniendo un rally de lgbtq + y mujeres. Queremos que sea un espacio SEGURO para la curación y el empoderamiento. Además, inclusivo para TODOS. El tema será "la curación que potencia el cambio radical". Las actividades consistirán en womxn y lgbtq + presentadores que sean de clase trabajadora que están en la lucha. Usualmente en los mítines tendemos a enfocarnos en aquellos que son considerados "exitosos" y que han "logrado". PERO no todos "lo logran" y debemos honrar a los sobrevivientes, como las mamás, los trabajadores agrícolas y los que han sido olvidados; pero dieron sus vidas a diferentes movimientos. ¡Esto está dedicado a ellos!

Horario: 11 a.m. a 12 p.m .: Rally en la plaza / haciendo carteles / tendremos un gran cartel blanco para escribir

12 p.m. a 1 p.m .: Parlantes TBA (háganos saber si desea hablar)

1 p.m. a 2 p.m .: micrófono abierto/ baile (compartir poesía, escritos y palabras que nos alientan y motivan a continuar la lucha)
