Response to the threats of Northern California ICE Raids
On January 17, 2018 there were reports that U.S. immigration officials are preparing to arrest more than 1,500 undocumented people in Northern California.
NLG-SF strongly condemns any attempts by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to terrorize our undocumented immigrant communities with raids and arrests.
While this is not the first time the Trump Administration has sought to violently rip families apart, it is deeply troubling that they are targeting Sanctuary Cities, along with prominent immigration activists and leaders.
This attempt to undermine the immigrant justice movement and ongoing dissent requires us to stand up for justice in immigrant communities now more than ever.
NLG-SF stands in solidarity with immigrant communities and calls for an end to this wholesale and escalating attack on immigrants. We will direct large-scale energies and efforts in solidarity with our allies to interrupt these violent attacks on our community.
