The Human Rights Working Group of the UUSF presents A Salute to Courageous Athletes on the Fields of Resistance. A panel headed by Prof. James Taylor of USF, Prof. George Wright formerly of Chico State and Skyline College, S.F. Mission High School football coach Gregory Hill and members of the Mission High football team will discuss the history of athletes standing up for social justice and today's emerging movement among athletes, beginning with Colin Kaepernick, and including high school, college and professional athletes courageously confronting racial injustice. Panel presentations will be followed by Q and A, discussion and recognition of valiant actions.
