Jovanka Beckles for Assembly Richmond canvass kickoff

You’re invited to join a Richmond canvassing blitz to elect Vice Mayor Jovanka Beckles to the State Assembly! Jovanka was the first candidate for state office to be endorsed by Bernie Sanders' Our Revolution; like Bernie, she takes no corporate donations. And she knows how to win elections the old-fashioned way: her supporters go door-to-door and get the community behind her.

On Saturday, activists from Bay Area unions and community groups will partner with Richmond residents to connect with our neighbors and spread the word. Whether you've already canvassed or you've never done it before, come get in on the ground floor of this historic movement!

Arrive at the RPA office by 11 a.m. for coffee, a briefing, and a chance to catch up with Jovanka. We’ll partner up, get materials, and be out the door by noon. Don’t forget to bring your refillable water bottle, hat, sunscreen, and a charged smartphone if you have one.
