Sustainable sourcing, fair-trade, eco-responsibility, B-corp certification, fair labor, responsibly traded - ever wondered what all of these terms actually mean for producers and consumers here in the Bay Area?
Join SF+Acumen and local coffee roasters, chocolate artisans, tea suppliers and more for an evening dedicated to learning about (and tasting) the sustainably sourced difference! Taste chocolate while hearing how how the raw ingredients can be traced back to a specific cacao plantation. Sip coffee and tea and learn what it means to producer communities to earn a higher price for their crops.
Participating businesses will include: Dandelion Chocolate, AlterEco Fair Trade Chocolate, Numi Tea, Endorfin Chocolate, Bisou Chocolate, Nomadic Ground Coffee, and REBBL. Speak with representatives from each to learn about their unique philosophies for sustainbly and ethically sourcing ingredients as well as what it looks like to operationalize a vision of social impact.
In addition to tastings, the evening will encourage deep audience engagement with small group presentations scheduled throughout the event to highlight various aspects of ethical sourcing.
