Learn About Walk-Ability

Jeff Speck writes in his book Walkable City, How Downtown Can Save America, One Step at a Time: "While the physical and social rewards of walking are many, walkability is perhaps most useful as it contributes to urban vitality...Get walkability right and so much of the rest will follow." What follows includes a demand for good transit and bike-friendly streets.

Debbie Bulger will be discussing walk-ability on Saturday, Oct. 7, 10:30am at the Police Community Room. Debbie has devoted countless hours studying the elements of walk-ability and providing input on public projects.
