Making Healthcare for All a Reality
The U.S. is the only advanced country in the world that doesn't provide health care to all. While the ACA is under attack, how can we protect and expand our health care access and affordability?
The Healthy California Act, Senate Bill 562 has now passed the state senate and if passed by the state Assembly and signed by the Governor, would facilitate the creation of a #singlepayer #healthcare system in California. Come learn about how it would work with your current coverage, how it will be funded, and about the economic analysis that shows how we can provide quality healthcare to everyone while saving our state billions of dollars. Bring all your questions, and your friends!
Our expert presenter will be Michael Lighty , Director of Public Policy for National Nurses United, where he has worked since its founding in 2009, and for the California Nurses Association since 1994. Co-sponsored by the Congregational Church of Sunnyvale - UCC, Indivisible South Bay, NorCal #OurRevolution, Silicon Valley Democratic Socialists of America, Santa Clara County Single Payer Health Care Coalition and RISE UP FOR JUSTICE (a project of San Jose Peace and Justice Center). #SB562
