Joe Blumenthal, UCSC Chancellor: please come to my office hours happening right now in clark kerr hall. we are discussing the A/BSA demands.
Students don't own that building dog it's occupying, how they gonna claim it
It doesn't seem clear to me... "reclaiming" implies that Kerr Hall has belonged to ABSA before?
Nothing is being reclaimed, they are occupying this space. Ucsc is an amazing school and clearly tries to be diverse and a safe space for everyone. The housing crisis is horrible for everyone, no matter what culture we come from. How is it just and fair for some students to get free housing and others not? What about students that don't identify as ABC ?
The article is about the students occupying Kerr Hall, an administrative building and nothing to do with the Student Alliance demands (other than being the working place of the target of the demands).
The "reclaiming" you mention is I assume in re: the reclamation of the Rosa Parks African American Themed House.
Most of the demands (except probably the one having to do with acquisition and development of property) are not unreasonable, but I wonder if the students represented by the A/BSA are especially disadvantaged, or if other disadvantaged and marginalized groups need to be included in any overall resolution...
Hi! I support the work being done here and want to suggest that the dates for compliance be changed to some time in the future (vs. April 2017).

To clarify, A/BSA's demands were published on March 6, 2017 in City on a Hill Press. At that time, the April 2017 dates for compliance were in the future.

City on a Hill Press reports: A/BSA reclamation plans on remaining in Kerr Hall until Chancellor Blumenthal meets with A/BSA tomorrow at 4 p.m.
Rosa Parks African American Themed House should be renamed to "Claudette Colvin & Rosa Parks Themed House." You might as well correct a little history while your at it.
Would be nice to see her recognized for once.
