"Land and Liberty!" a common refrain of current and historic regime change social justice movements, finds its cultural origin in the Exodus story informing Passover and Easter celebrations.
This evening Teachers with whiteboards explores a sociological interpretation of the Exodus story. What specifically human goals motivate Land and Liberty endeavors? How does the invocation of deific agency in liberation movements hinder liberation endeavors?
And, importantly, how can one employ the sociological interpretation of the Exodus story in educating others about social movements, but in a wholly secular humanist meme and frame.
Supper is provided for those providing an RSVP.
