The kickoff event for Oakland Veg Week 2017 will be a Meatless Mother's Day family wellness event. This fun, pay-what-you-wish family-friendly event will be held at Oakland's only vegan gym, NewEthic Strength and Conditioning, and will feature:
-A vegan cooking demonstration from Chef Leslie Tarian offering ideas for incorporating meatless meals into the family diet
- A talk by Megan Storms, "Vegan Running Mom," about raising healthy families and balancing personal wellness and care
- A yoga session with Misted Forest Yoga
- Complimentary coffee from Industry Coffee Roasters and plant-based milk from Ripple Foods
- Vegan treats from Two Mammas Vegan Kitchen available for purchase
We invite vegans, vegetarians, and the veg-curious to bring their families for this friendly and inclusive event! All are welcome.
Admission is free but we greatly appreciate donations to help cover the cost of supplies and food.
