What can mental health care and crisis response look like without police involvement?
Join the Justice 4 Kayla Moore Coalition and Berkeley Copwatch for a forum to address that question. The forum will feature individuals and organizations who are fighting for, building and living out mental health alternatives to the police. We will also discuss next steps for our campaign to fight for changes in how our communities and the City of Berkeley approach mental health crises. Please refrain from wearing scented products to the event.
Accessibility info: The space is wheelchair accessible and we will have a scent-free seating area during the large-group portion of the event. Please contact us (see below) by March 31st to let us know of any additional access needs.
Need a ride or childcare? Contact us (info below) by March 31st to request these resources. Arrangements to make childcare and rides available are in progress.
Interested in presenting at the forum? Have experience (through life and/or work) with non-police mental health resources or the intersection of mental health and policing? Contact us (below) - we'd love to hear from you! Volunteers also welcome.
