Bay Area city councils in Richmond and Alameda were the first in the U.S. to pass resolutions calling on Congress to begin impeachment proceedings. "Richmond and Alameda are two of the countless communities nationwide where people are now looking at imminent dire consequences of extreme corruption at the top of the U.S. government," says Norman Solomon, co-founder and coordinator of RootsAction.org.
The panel will examine the dangerous precedent set by a president who considers himself above the rule of law. The petition at impeachdonaldtrumpnow.org has garnered more than 912,000 signatures, and thousands more sign on each day.
