Educators, ahoy!
Rough waters out there, aren't it? What to say and how to say it in the Topical Storm called Trump when students ask, "Is the president crazy?" or "Does he hate immigrants?" or "Does Whitey know what's going down?"
Variations on these questions blow us educators' way 2nd grade-high school on a daily basis, and it can be difficult to know how to launch a civil class discussion not liable to libel.
Join Teachers with white boards for an in-service on how to use five dry erase pens, a white board, and any question students pose regarding power--whether in current events, social studies, or plot in non-fiction literature--to enhance critical thinking and spark profound, reflective discussions.
The skinny: the pens represent "people power," use it or lose it; the white board represents time and place; the central question is, "Who controls the white board?"
Supper provided.
