Long time New Orleans revolutionary Malcolm Suber spoke to News and Views about the upcoming New Orleans People's Assembly.The People's Assembly will center the voices of New Orleans natives and workers in an effort to resist capitalistic values that dictate the quality of life of New Orleans' residents who are fighting against mass incarceration, for their homes, for a living wage, for their children's education and for their dignity.
For those who would like to join the People's Assembly movement, there will be a planning meeting on Saturday, February 11 from 1-4 pm at Christian Unity Baptist Church (1700 Conti St.)
