This week News and Views had the opportunity to speak to human rights lawyer Azadeh Shahshahani regarding Trump's immigration executive order. Azadeh is the Legal & Advocacy Director for Project South based in Atlanta. She previously served as the National Security/Immigrants' Rights Project Director with the ACLU of Georgia and was a lead organizer of Atlanta’s airport protest over this past weekend. Azadeh draws connections between the immigration ban and attacks on other vulnerable communities as well as strategies and resources for communities to get involved in movements for equity and human rights.
