A provocative and exciting discussion with five climate activists, some of whom are facing up to 90 years in prison for shutting down oil pipelines.
If we are willing, how can we stop climate disaster? The way to stop them, is to stop them. On October 11, 2016, five climate activists manually shut down five tar sands oil pipelines located in four states. This shut down 15% of US crude oil imports for nearly a day. Unprecedented.
These brave people are willing to go to jail for decades to stop climate change. What about you and me?
Come share an evening with the Valve Turners. As they prepare to go to trial, they'll come talk strategy and share about their journey and the love that led them to take these actions.
Bring your whole self, doubts, hopes, questions and let's face for ourselves what will be required of us if we are to maintain a livable planet for all.
This is a fundraiser. Donations will be collected for their very high legal costs. No one turned away for lack of funds.
