Come out with your family, friends, and neighbors and join us in making a difference in Richmond. Be a part of this festive and inspirational event!
Sponsored by Friends of the Richmond Greenway, a coalition of 17 community groups including The Watershed Project. There will be many projects to choose from:
Plant wildflowers, shrubs, and trees along the Greenway
Join native plant and urban gardening tours
Clear the Greenway of weeds and litter.
Learn to sheet mulch - a great weed control strategy you can use at home.
Lunch, inspirational speakers, entertainment, and children’s activities are all included! We also supply tools and gloves, but please bring your own if you have them (clearly labeled).
Please also bring your own reusable water bottle; wear closed-toe shoes for safety, clothes that can get dirty, and sun protection as needed.
Children must be accompanied by an adult; anyone under 18 will need to have their waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian. Please contact us if you need a waiver in advance.
